Fashion Shoot

I had the opportunity to work with a few models on an informal photo shoot this weekend. We shot for about three hours and had a few wardrobe changes. We worked in a few locations in the house for a few different looks. Adrienne (upper) owns AB-FAB Designs and Hila (lower) was her willing accomplice.

Onward and Upward

Its time I started working on my art again so I dusted off the camera and headed out into the wilds of Anne Arundel County Sunday afternoon. I wandered down country lanes and a dirt road or two. I found a sports complex and shot a few lonely landscapes of foul poles, bleachers, benches, and blocking dummies. I wandered along the river, slipping through the mud. I found a cow. He wasn't much of a conversationalist. The whole adventure lasted about 90 minutes, but it was the start of the rejuvenation of my photography.

I also joined two photography meetup groups and plan to use those services to the fullest.

Time Running Out

We've entered the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl and its not looking good for the Cardinals. The game is playing out just about how I expected. I predicted the Steelers would win 23-10.

But the highly-touted commercials have fallen flat for the most part. Budweiser had a few decent ones, but Monster.com and pedigree were the best. Get a dog! Haa.

And M.C. and Ed for cash4gold.com? Pull-eeze.

Enjoy!

Happy Weekend

Well, we've recovered from Storm #1 of this new year and I hear that #2 is on the way but it doesn't look to me that it will be too crazy. Nevertheless, stock up on milk, bread, eggs, and toilet paper. Why is it that people use the crapper more when it snows?

Sunday is going to be a nice warm (relative) day so get outside and do something. I'm going to take the camera, and the wife, on an adventure. We'll see what happens.

It's time to start thinking about what to show at Artomatic. Remember, its never too early to plan. This year's show will start just after Memorial Day, but get your pieces ready now.

Enjoy!

Let it Snow, But Ice; Say No.

OK. The snow was pretty yesterday morning. It wasn't that bad yesterday evening.
Now, I've already had enough. My driveway is about a 25 degree slope and the street is worse. My neighbor slid down the hill and is blocking the street. So, I'm staying right where I am for now. Those of you who have to go out, Please, drive carefully, or, Stay Home this morning.

Action Figure Dioramas

On Saturday afternoon, a dozen members of the Artomatic Event and Program Management committee gathered to play with dolls. A good patron, Dana Berliner, donated 300 female action figures to Artomatic and we decided to make dioramas with them, similar to the Peep dioramas that you've seen at Artomatic the past two shows.
